Site windfarms carefully so turbulent wakes do no harm

Wind farms make strong winds turbulent, slowing down speed, predicted to release heat drying landscape drying out the landscape, reducing productivity and biodiversity, increasing bush fire risk. Risk research is needed to quantify these predictions. Wind farms should only be located where such risks are shown to be acceptable.

Points

Farmers and firefighters may mount class action in future for the damage done from drying landscapes. No research has been in this area in Australia and this drying may be responsible for increasing severity of bush fires since 2010, such as in Athens and on Maui, Hawaii with hundreds of people dying
