Publicly owned national network of EV charging stations

It is important to extend the availability charging stations. However, government own facilities are often less efficient and costing more to run. Perhaps the government should provide more support and control to facilitate the increase in numbers for the the car owners.

I would suggest "community owned" stations, and these could be coupled with a larger project where we are providing power through a community virtual power plant.

Could this involve an output for profits returned back to the community/vulnerable similar to Goulburn's group?
