Use non productive land for renewabled

Stop using farmland for transmission lines and solar panels. Stop destroying habitat for turbines. Use non productive land and bury transmission lines. We need food production more than green solutions.

Points

It's a myth that you have to sacrifice farmland whenever you install renewable energy. Look into agrivoltaics; there are numerous examples of solar panels and windfarms that complement agriculture instead of replacing it, providing shade for plants and animals - which boosts yields - in addition to giving farmers an extra source of income.

I don't support how this point is written, it is creating a false dichotomy - a choice between two things. Of course we need land for food, and we also need to find ways to create sustainable energy solutions. I support us looking for both, not creating reasons why we can't do something.

Agrivoltaics means Land is Shared by eg sheep & solar panels. Sheep thrive in the shade of the panels & mow the grass too. Productivity of Land is boosted! Wool is higher quality & also the meat quality.

Generally yes, but underground transmission still needs go across farmland in designated areas.

yes

It's madness to cover arable land with solar farms, or cut down trees for wind farms
