I think this is a great option compared to installing a battery on site. We need this to be legislated and then the cost to install the wall box should drop from its prohibitive cost (I have seen estimates of $10,000 for this special box - which is higher than the cost of a medium sized battery).
This is good idea. But now the Chinese e-car maker is building cars that take a 5 minute flash charge to full capacity. I dont know when they will be available everywhere but that will be a game-changer. They also have facilities to swap over old to newly charged battery, just like your BBQ gas bottle. But dont use gas if you can help it!
