I am involved with a local community group that has been tasked to create a community orchard in the new park in Peacehaven. The area covers about 4 acres of former farmland. We are starting from scratch and need to plant trees and hedging,
Peacehaven needs more trees and hedging to create a more balanced biodiversity. The orchard would also provide Food For Free to local residents. It will also bring people of all age groups together in working for the community as a whole.
Really great opportunity to get involved in making the Big Park even more unique. Get outdoors, learn to grow and nurture things. Would improve the local environment. Educational, social, and a sustainable activity with many possibilities.
