Some animals like cows are very pollutant when alive as they release methane. They also pollute in general because of their large population and are priced at reasonable prices considering the mass. We could try to eliminate this problem or at least reduce it by reducing the amount of such animals in farms and therefore price them higher. This will also give people more understanding of their choices.
