Ensure that Malta becomes a centre of excellence in the fight against diabetes, a condition that affects more than 10% of our population. Glucose monitoring strips and all medication (including insulin) will be made available free of charge to all patients with Type 2 diabetes, as is already the case for those having Type 1. After consultation with patients and health care professionals we will look into the best avenues to introduce insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring.
