Insulin Pumps for Type 1 Diabetics

Insulin Pumps for Type 1 Diabetics

Type 1 diabetics in Malta are still using syringes and insulin pens to take their insulin doses, whilst insulin pumps have been around for more than 40 years. Also, there are no professionals in Malta specialising in the insulin pump. I think we should take a positive step forward and start introducing insulin pumps, starting with a few thousand for toddlers, young children and those with almost unmanageable Type 1 diabetes. 'No needle" glucose meters should also start being introduced.
