Hunting should be completely band and this should never ever be a topic. This is a an outdated and primitive practice. If the argument is linked to tradition then on the same principal we should reintroduce practices from the 15th century.
As much as I'm not entertained by hunting and would do without it and the killing of animals, hunting in a sustainable manner, for food rather than as a sport, is not bad in itself. Poaching is bad though - and offenders should be given harsher punishments without any reservations.
Hunting for food must be excepted from such a ban - It is much better than farming if and only if it is kept sustainable.
